Former WRE CEO testifies about money paid to DCCS Entities

February 14, 2020

During the trial for Lev Derman, former Washakie Renewable Energy CEO, Jacob Kingston testified Wednesday that throughout the course of business, he and his company paid around $30 Million to the DCCS or related businesses.

Representatives from a number of DCCS members who own businesses claim they did not accept payments from WRE or Mr. Kingston for anything other than legitimate services rendered to WRE in good faith.

A spokesperson for the DCCS gave the following statement:

"To my knowledge, any money paid to DCCS member owned businesses was for legitimate services rendered or to repay money loaned to Mr. Kingston or WRE related entities.
The DCCS supports lawfully operating member businesses and categorically denies any conspiracy ever existed to funnel fraudulent proceeds from WRE or any other entity to the DCCS or any member owned businesses."
