2019 DCCS High School Graduation Rates Continue to Surpass Utah and US

December 20, 2019

In recent years, DCCS High School graduation rates for men and women have surpassed the rates of the surrounding population in Utah, as well as the US.  2019 was no exception.  DCCS members' on-time graduation rate for the year was 91.6% compared to Utah's 87.4% and the United States' 84.16%.

This years' DCCS rate ticked down slightly for females from 94.1% in 2018 to 93.9% in 2019.  This is primarily due to a large increase in students staying in high school longer to complete concurrent classes and earn their Associates Degree along with their High School Diploma.  On-time graduation rate for males in the DCCS increased from 86.8% in 2018 to 89.5% in 2019.

A large majority of DCCS high school students are attending public schools, however, samples for graduation rates includes representation from all DCCS demographics.
