Service Projects were running for three weekends throughout November.
A mid sized tree was able to be removed from one of our member's homes. Volunteers cut it down and chainsawed it into pieces small enough to be thrown into a green waste dumpster.
During the month of November, the Service Projects launched a sub group called Senior Care and Special Services. This specialized group was geared towards providing our senior members with the help they needed throughout the winter months. The main tasks were snow removal, and making sure the sidewalks around their homes were safe to walk on.
Volunteers met at an apartment owned by one of our members to help him tear out the floor and prepare it for a remodel.
They were able to help him get everything he needed and more with a total of 39 Volunteer hours!
One of our members had some old laundry cabinets falling off their wall.
Volunteers were able to help her dismantle the cabinets and patch up the damaged wall behind them.
An awesome month for the Service Projects Group. Thank you to everyone who participated. We encourage you to continue helping our dear Senior members by contacting the Coordinator of the Senior Care and Services Group to see who is needing help at what times.
