The Service Project's Group had three projects running during the month of August.
At the end of the summer, there was a flash flood in Huntington Utah which resulted in the death of one miner. One of our elderly members were also living in the area and his home was flooded with mud.
Service Project's Group Administrators organized a large team to complete a number of projects for him.
Projects included:
This was one of the largest projects in the history of the Service Projects Group, with a total of 304 volunteer hours!
We want to thank everyone who was able to come down on such short notice!
This week, volunteers helped a young family move into a new home. General cleanup and patchwork were done in the interior.
24 Volunteer Hours Completed!
This week, volunteers worked together to complete landscaping and tree removal for one of our members.
54 Volunteer Hours Completed!
As the month came to a close, volunteers helped one of our dear mothers remove fallen trees and branches from a recent thunderstorm.
27 Volunteer Hours Logged!
The Month of August 2021 beat the record for the most volunteer hours in a single month (previously held by June 2018). This was mainly due to the service project in southern Utah. Thank you to all our volunteers and a special thanks to those who were able to lend a hand to our elderly members!
August totaled at 409 volunteer hours! Everyone keep up the Good Work!!!
