The Service Projects Group had two projects running in the month of March:
Service project volunteers met at the home of one of our young mothers to help her cut down and get rid of four large trees and prepare her yard for a future landscaping project.
Components of this project were:
39 Volunteer hours logged!
In light of the new food shortage, volunteers came together at a regional farm to help bag and ship potatoes to local grocery stores in Salt Lake City.
52 Volunteer hours were completed!
Thank you to everyone who was able to help with the service projects for March. This month saw 91 volunteer hours logged by the community.
With the new stay at home order and the restriction of gatherings of more than 10 people, Service Project Administrators sent out this message to members:
Hello Co-op Members!
What a great opportunity many of us have been given to spend more time with our children & families!
Young people, we encourage you all to ask your mothers & fathers how you can be of service in their household during this time.
Is the yard equipment serviced & ready to go?
Do you have a garden spot ready to plant?
Does your garage or storage room need rearranged?
We look forward to our next project & being able to work together with everyone.
